'Every couple has a song': You won't believe what Miranda and Blake's is!
Miranda Lambert recently did an interview with People Magazine for it's country special issue and went through a list of "Music that Changed Her Life."
Most of them are just what you would expect her to have on her mp3 player... but her couple's song with Blake is WAAAAAY out there, yet so perfect for the two!
Here's the list:
1. "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star" - Merle Haggard
"Merle is my No. 1," she said. "He makes you believe the stories he tells. I grew up with my dad singing his songs." Lambert said this was one of the first songs she ever learned to play on her guitar.
2. "Run the World (Girls)" - Beyonce
"I used this song in my 2013 tour as the song I walk on stage with. It's total girl power!"
3. "Desperados Waiting for a Train" - Guy Clark
Miranda said this one from Clark's 1975 album "Old No. 1" is her favorite song of all time. "I remember hearing it when I was eight and thinking, 'Oh, my gosh.' His songs push me as a writer. I think, 'I can do better.'"
4. "Over You" - Lambert
"Blake and I wrote this song together about his brother who died ina car accident when Blake was a teen," she said. Miranda recorded the song that won both the ACM and the CMA song of the year award.
5. "Monster Mash" - Bobby 'Boris' Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers
"Probably every morning, when Blake's making coffee, I hear, 'We do the mash...' It makes us happy," she said. "Every couple has a song. This is ours."
