A jeep barreled into a house last night around 9am on Alpine Drive near the intersection of Lamberth in Sherman. Sherman Police said the driver of the jeep drove through a yard and slammed into the house. 3 people were inside the home when it happened, but nobody was hurt. The Jeep crashed into a bedroom. No word on the extent of the damage to the home and authorities are still looking into what caused the accident.

Officials have released a preliminary cause of a fatal fire Wednesday morning in Stonewall, Oklahoma. Steven Watts a 14yr old autistic boy was found dead inside the home. Fire officials believe that the fire may have started by a propane heater. They say an oxygen tank inside the home then exploded. The cause of the teen’s death is unknown at this time but his body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office in Tulsa for autopsy. Stevens mother Renee Watts, suffered smoke-related injuries, and was treated for minor injuries and released. Renee thought Steven had escaped the house, but went back in to look for her, and became trapped. The case is still under investigation but according to the fire department it appears to have been accidental.

21yr old Cody Dewayne Walters was arrested and taken to the Cooke County Jail yesterday morning. Gainesville Police spotted him entering a store on California Street. Walters is accused of firing several shots at another person who was standing in their front yard at 1014 North Clements Street, and then fleeing the scene. Walters is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and will be arraigned this morning.

A solicitor Nathan Charles Wolfe was arrested after causing a disturbance on North Shannon Street in Sherman. Wolfe became pushy after a homeowner said he didn’t want to buy from the door to door salesman and shut the door in his face. A heated argument ensued and it’s believed that Wolfe even threatened to stab the homeowner in the neck with a pen. The police were called and Wolfe was arrested for soliciting without a permit.
