Last week, we had the Gene Autry Rodeo Queen Candidates in the KKAJ studios for some insight into what made them love one of Oklahoma’s favorite sporting events.
All three candidates went through the ringer selling tickets and collecting votes, and this morning we have a winner.
The 2014 Gene Autry Rodeo Queen is… Taylor Underwood!
Taylor is 12 years old and until recently has been competing mostly in ranch rodeos. She now competes in barrel racing and says it’s her favorite event!
Taylor will be in the 6th grade this year at Dickson and attends Rawhide Cowboy Church of Carter County. She loves riding horses and says, “If I’m not at school or doing something with my family, you can find me on my horse, Brownie!”
Congratulations Taylor and to all of the other Queen candidates for your hard work!
