Local Election Coverage / April 6th, 2011

Several local elections are taking place today.  Atoka residents will be voting on a school bond issue while two city council seats are open in Durant.  Caddo and Colbert are looking at tax propositions on their ballots.

In Carter county 5 total seats are open in Wilson,

The race for the at-large spot on the Healdton City Council with 4 names on the ballot.

In Springer, Billy Bob Bryant, Steve Fry and Louise Tovar are running for a spot on the board of trustees. The two top vote-getters will each be seated.

In Ringling, the city clerk seat is open, which is a four-year position.

The City of Oakland in Marshall County has 6 people vying for 3 seats on the board of trustees.

There is only one race in Love County. Incumbent Marietta Mayor Michelle Porter is running for office against James Lang, who has served as mayor in Marietta.
