Everything’s coming up platinum for Miranda Lambert. She’s received, of course, a number of platinum-selling albums, and her upcoming new album bears the title Platinum. Now, it’s part of the name of her summer tour, which Miranda announced Tuesday.
The officially billed Crystal Light Presents Platinum Tour kicks off July 10 in Fort Loramie, Ohio. Opening acts Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett join the tour beginning with the Aug. 8 date in Sacramento, Calif. The 30-city trek includes two dates in Canada and is slated to wrap Sept. 20 in Honolulu.
The new show promises to sparkle with a platinum theme that includes a signature stage design. “Platinum represents a lifestyle for me,” Miranda noted in a release about the tour. “It’s the color of my hair, my wedding ring, my airstream trailer, so it’s a natural fit for the name of my new album and it’s why we decided to name the tour Platinum, too.”
Unfortunately for our listeners, there are currently no dates in Oklahoma or in northern Texas. The two closest performances are in Corpus Christi, Texas in September and Bonner Springs, Kansas in August. BUT, concert schedules are always subject to change.
