Trace Adkins inducted into Louisiana Music Hall of Fame

Trace Adkins has always sung the praises of his home state of Louisiana. This past Saturday, the state took its turn to honor its native son by inducting Trace into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

Trace was given the honor at his tour stop at Dixie Landin’ in Baton Rouge. During his show, Trace was joined onstage by Mike Shepherd, president and executive director of the Louisiana Hall of Fame, who presented Trace with the award and an official statement signed by the state’s governor, Bobby Jindal.

Trace, a native of Sarepta, La., named his band the Sarepta Gentlemen’s Club after his hometown. He's out all summer, so
check his schedule and mark your calendars. Trace joins such notables as Louis Armstrong, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, Kix Brooks and Aaron Neville as fellow Louisiana Music Hall of Fame members.

Congratulations, Trace!
