Jim Came to 95.7 KKAJ from Alamogordo, New Mexico where he was chosen as the 2014 New Mexico DJ of The Year (He says he feels good about his chances of winning even if there had been other nominations.)

Jim has been playing Country Music on the radio for over 20 years. It's not a secret when you talk to him that he is a country boy with a passion for ALL country music, country fun, and fellow country music listeners.

On the weekend, if there's a motorsports event happening, you'll find him there. Weekdays He's having FUN with you on Texoma's Country, 6am-10am

I'm a rare breed of sports fanatic/music nerd/movie buff/pop culture enthusiest. With passions for all of that, what better way to display my useless knowledge than through radio. That was my conclusion after at one point thinking to myself, that I could do Carson Daly's job better than him.

I'm still working on it.
However, this all didn't come about until I already had 4 business degrees (seriously, that happened). But that's when my passion for music took over. Since then, radio has taken me from my hometown area of St. Louis, MO, to northern Illinois, to Arkansas, and now Ardmore, Oklahoma.
I, for one, couldn't be happier with the result.

Rob Carter's radio career began right here at 95.7 KKAJ back in 1984.

The Outdoor Life Network chose Rob to narrate some of their programming, including the shows "Northwest Hunter" and "Hunting the Country".

Rob has been nominated three times for Personality of the Year from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.

Jimmy joins us from our sister station, The Ranch, in Fort Worth.

After getting a broadcasting degree from UTA, he worked his way up in country radio, starting out as a promotions assistant and eventually becoming an on-air personality.

He's a big fan of red dirt and classic country and has a huge passion for radio.

He spends his downtime watching horror movies, playing guitar (badly), and going to local concerts.
